I'm Home!

I've decided it's been long enough since I blogged.

This is home!

There isn't too much going on over here. I'm just counting down days until I go to the Blue October concert (5), get a new cell phone (4-5), and go to Arizona (13). At some point I'm going to Disneyland with Bryce, Nicole and Chelsea. I'm super excited!!

We got Grannie down to California alright and we're working on getting her situated in the house. She's doing very well. Bryce's radiation is going pretty well so far. This is his third week and this is when the side effects should start manifesting. I saw him on Monday, but haven't seen him since because his Grandma died, so he's been with his family that flew in.

Things that induce laughter/smiles/happy feelings in me today:
1. Talking to KP. Thank you for the honesty - it helped loads!
2. AZ in 13 days!!
3. Celebrating Nicole's birthday...finally!
4. Planning on attending the old Family Ward on Sunday.

ThinkGeek.com

So Bryce introduced me to this website called ThinkGeek.com a couple months ago and I can't get enough. If I don't have homework, I'm for sure browsing ThinkGeek! They have everything there - from onion goggles to a goldfish training kit!!

This is by far and away my favorite though. I want it. But I wouldn't be able to wear it on campus. Too many Monty Python fans up here who would get the joke.

ThinkGeek :: Huge Tracts of Land

Things that induce laughter/smiles/happy feelings in me today:
1. Finishing the magazine for Brother Keller's class - although, I would like to know which of my articles were published.
2. I dusted my room yesterday and it smells like pledge a little still. MMMM.
3. California in 9 days! Thanks for finding a place for us, J!
4. The 7 week break. I know I complain about it most of the time, but I'm burnt out. I need a vacation.

Lost, Lost, Lost...

I've lost my iron.

I dug out my box that should have had my iron in it for Sunday and it's NOT THERE!!

I've had that iron for years. And it's gone. Without a trace.
So I went to church wrinkled on Sunday. And the Bishop asked me to take more care with my appearance as it probably wasn't my "Sunday best."

I was mortified.

So I borrowed Leslie's iron and broke it! And I can't even replace it with my own. Because it's gone. LOST!

So I gave Leslie Alli's old iron. That I stole from her storage unit. Because I have a copy of the key. Shh. Don't tell Alli. ...or Leslie for that matter. She thinks it's from KMart. The Martha Stewart Collection.

Things that induce laughter/smiles/happy feelings in me today:
1. Going to AZ in ONE MONTH!
2. The Geek videos on youtube.
3. Talking to Alli today.
4. Greg.
5. This blog post. Cause it's a prank. On Tara. I know you have my iron. I don't need it back. And I didn't steal Alli's cause all her stuff is gone. And I didn't break Leslie's. I just told you that because I wanted you to feel bad because you think I would be mad that you somehow ended up with my iron that I didn't even know I had. Love you!

A Pleasant Surprise

A few weekends ago, Chelsea and Nicole came to Rexburg for a surprise visit!

They were in cahoots with my mom and Jereme (sneaky devils) and I'm completely impressed that both Chelsea and Nicole were able to keep the secret. Naturally, my mom and Jereme can, but those two haven't ever kept something secret so well in their lives! Of course, they weren't talking to me while they were planning it, so that probably helped a lot! hahaha!

Jereme had emailed me and asked me if I would want to get lunch with him on a Thursday, so we went to Wendy's and as I was starting in on my French fries a pair of hands went over my eyes, which I recognized! It was Nicole!! And as soon as I looked around I saw Chelsea too! I was completely surprised! It was fabulous!

I didn't really know what to do with them, but we had a blast anyway. I had no clue I could fit 3 people and all of their stuff in my tiny bedroom, but we made it work (I wish I had taken pictures of that...)! It was a lot of eating out at all of the places we don't have in California like Craigos and Papa Kelsey's. We went to Best of Guitars Unplugged and they even came to my classes with me on Friday morning. I think it was a bit of a culture shock for them to be able to discuss gospel principles in secular classes and start everything on campus with prayer.

We went to the Nature Preserve one day to feed the ducks and all of the fledglings were out - cute little guys!

All in all, it was way fun to have the Variety Pack in Rexburg, at last!

Now, to get Bryce up here before I graduate. (Not going to happen, I know...)

Things that induce laughter/smiles/happy feelings in me today:
1. Planning my trip to AZ with Kellie for Shauna's farewell.
2. Exactly 2 more weeks until the end of the semester.
3. I will be taking Bryce to radiation when I'm in California (at 5:30 am) at least once - maybe more... I don't really know how many days I volunteered for. I'm just glad to be doing something.
4. The crazy guys I sit next to in Math. They're hilarious.
5. Todd's amazing InDesign skills. Who knew?!
